King-Men

The Book of Mormon discusses a group of people called king-men. These “king-men” desired that the law be changed in a manner to overthrow the free government and to establish a king over the land.

On the other-hand, there were those who desired to keep free government, and they took upon themselves the name of freemen. The country was divided between these two groups, for the freemen had sworn to maintain their rights and privileges of their religion by a free government.

The people decided to vote on the matter and the result came back in favor of the freemen.

Now those who wanted kings were of high birth, and they wanted to be kings, and they were supported by those who sought power and authority over the people.

This was a critical time for such contentions to be among the people, because their national enemies were preparing to come against them in war. When the king-men heard that enemies of their country were coming to battle against them, they were glad; for they were so angry with the people of liberty that they would not take up arms to defend their country.

When the leader of the military, Captain Moroni, saw what was happening, he was angry because of the stubbornness of those people whom he had labored with so much effort to preserve. So he sent a request, with the voice of the people, to the governor of the land, desiring that the governor would give him (Moroni) power to compel those dissenters to defend their country, or to put them to death.

It was Moroni’s first care to put an end to such contentions and dissensions among the people; because this had been, up to this time, a cause of all their destruction. Moroni’s request was granted according to the voice of the people.

Moroni commanded his army to go against those king-men, to pull down their pride and their nobility and level them with the earth, unless they would take up arms and support the cause of liberty. The armies marched forth against the king-men, and pulled down their pride and their nobility, insomuch that as they lifted their weapons of war to fight against the men of Moroni they were hewn down and leveled to the earth.

There were four thousand of those dissenters who were hewn down by the sword; and their leaders who were not slain in battle were taken and cast into prison, for there was no time for their trials at this period. And the remainder of those dissenters, rather than be smitten down to the earth by the sword, yielded to the standard of liberty, and were compelled to hoist the title of liberty upon their towers, and in their cities, and to take up arms in defense of their country.

In this way Moroni put an end to those king-men, and he put an end to the stubbornness and pride of those people who professed the blood of nobility. They were made to humble themselves like unto their brethren, and to fight valiantly for their freedom from bondage.

And now while Moroni was dealing with the contentions among his own people, and subjecting them to peace and civilization, and making regulations to prepare for war against their enemies, their enemies had come into the borders of their land.

I believe that The Global Elite are “king-men” and I’m concerned that a civil war will take place in America because these king-men are trying to set themselves up as kings (rulers), just like what happened in the Book of Mormon. And this is not all, these modern-day king-men are also members of a secret organization, or secret combination. They belong to an organization of people bound together by oaths to carry out the evil purposes of the group. And They Seek To Overthrow America.

In the Book of Mormon, there was a band of robbers founded by a wicked man named Gadianton. Their organization was based on secrecy and satanic oaths. This band of robbers entered into secret covenants and oaths to protect each other in any difficult circumstances they might find themselves, so that they wouldn’t be held accountable for murdering and stealing, etc.

This group had secret signs and secret words, so that they could recognize who had entered into their covenant. That way, whatever crime his “brother” did, he wouldn’t be injured by him, nor by any of those who belonged to his band, who had taken this covenant.

This secret band committed murder, and plunder, and they were thieves, and committed whoredoms (practiced unlawful sexual relations), and even more atrocities, “contrary to the laws of their country and also the laws of their God.”

Ezra Taft Benson spoke about secret combinations that are among us today:

I testify that wickedness is rapidly expanding in every segment of our society. (See D&C 1:14–16; D&C 84:49–53.) It is more highly organized, more cleverly disguised, and more powerfully promoted than ever before. Secret combinations lusting for power, gain, and glory are flourishing. A secret combination that seeks to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries is increasing its evil influence and control over America and the entire world. (See Ether 8:18–25.) — Ezra Taft Benson, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Oct. 1988

For those of you who do not know who Ezra Taft Benson is, here is a short synopsis of his life:

Ezra Taft Benson

Ezra Taft Benson was born 4 August 1899 in Whitney, Idaho. He was a humble farmer who rose to positions of national and worldwide prominence, both politically and religiously.

After first attending Utah State Agricultural College and Brigham Young University, Ezra Taft Benson earned a master’s Degree in agricultural economics from Iowa State University.  He then moved back to Idaho to run the family farm. For several years he worked in various positions relating to agriculture in both Idaho and Washington D.C. In 1943 he was unexpectedly called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In 1952 he was selected by Dwight D. Eisenhower to be the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. David O. McKay, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, encouraged Elder Benson to accept the position from President Eisenhower. Elder Benson served simultaneously as an apostle and as Secretary of Agriculture during both presidential terms of Dwight D. Eisenhower.

On November 10, 1985, Ezra Taft Benson became the 13th President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A position he held until his death on May 30, 1994.

Elder Ezra Taft Benson was very outspoken against communism and socialism. In fact, he said that communism is diametrically opposed to the Church. After he became President of the Church, people expected him to continue being outspoken in regards to politics. But to their surprise, he did not. He instead focused on the Book of Mormon. President Benson said it was the Keystone of our religion and encouraged members to read and study it.

I’ve often thought it interesting that President Benson focused so much on the Book of Mormon, because a large portion of this book talks about Secret Combinations. In every case, the secret combinations tried to take over the government. Now think about it, if there is a secret combination in our country today, do you really think they would not try to take over the government this time? I think they would; I know they would. In effect, President Benson DID continue talking about politics, but he did it through the Book of Mormon. By-the-way, I personally heard President Benson say that you can learn more about current events by reading the Book of Mormon, than by reading the daily newspaper. I also heard President Gordon B. Hinckley say “The Book of Mormon narrative is a chronical of nations long since gone. But in its descriptions of the problems of today’s society, it is as current as a morning newspaper, and much more definitive, and inspiring, concerning the solutions of those problems. The people succumbed to the wiles and ambitions of scheming leaders who oppressed them with burdensome taxes, who lulled them with hollow promises…”

And another thing, current events support President Benson’s belief that Communism is the real enemy. There is a push to convert our country and the entire world into a socialist New World Order, and they’re moving from using legislation to using revolutionary tactics. I’ve heard many reporters, politicians and others say that “liberal democrats” and the “global elitists” are Communists.

I think I need to clarify the difference between communism and socialism.

Communism IS socialism. It is socialism instigated by revolutionary means. Whereas socialism that is brought about by a democratic process is called Democratic Socialism, or Social Democracy. The end result is the same, but the way to accomplish it is different. One is accomplished by revolution, the other is brought about through a democratic process, or legislation. The secret organization that President Benson mentioned is taking over the United States has been using legislation for decades to bring about socialism. That is why you hear the term “democracy” so much. They are referring to Social Democracy. We constantly hear that the U.S. is a democracy, which is NOT true. The United States was set up as a Republic. More correctly, it was set up as a Constitutional Republic.

The Founding Fathers said that true Democracy never works. They said that it doesn’t last very long before it collapses into tyranny.

Benjamin Franklin said “There is Truth in the Old Saying, That if you make yourself a Sheep, the Wolves will eat you.”

A modern take on Benjamin Franklin’s statement is “Democracy is defined as ‘Two Wolves and a Lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a Well-Armed Lamb contesting the vote.’”

Even Plato, in his Republic, tells us that tyranny arises, as a rule, from democracy.

The word democracy is NOT in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, nor the Bill of Rights. It is not even in the Pledge of Allegiance. But the word republic is in the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Constitution says we have a Republican form of government. Mob rule is a democracy, because the majority rules. On the other hand, minority rights are protected from the majority in a Republic. Democracies only last until people realize they can, as Fraser Tyler said, vote themselves generous gifts of money “from the public treasury.” But then, where does the money actually come from? Answer: It comes from other people’s pockets.

Perhaps this might be the best place to bring up Fascism. Most people believe that fascism is far right, as opposed to socialism, which is far left. But I’m here to tell you that fascism is also far left. In fact, it too could be labeled as a form of socialism, or at least a close cousin.

I’d like to add that many people also consider Nazism to be far-right ideology. This is laughable! The word Nazi means National Socialism.

Bottom line, it doesn’t really matter whether it’s the government that owns and controls everything, or if it’s corporations that use the government to control everything. The result is the same: The people are enslaved.

And now the ‘powers that be’ have gone a step further and created ESG (environmental, social, and governance), which Andy Puzder calls “socialism in sheep’s clothing” to transform corporate America into a neo-Marxist system. According to Puzder, “ESG is a form of investing that focuses on accomplishing Leftest Political Agendas, as opposed to enhancing investor returns… It’s an effort by the Left, through this broad-based ownership interest that they have now in American companies. They’ve taken over the powerful positions in American companies. It’s their effort to enact their radical environmental policies, their radical social policies (e.g. Critical Race Theory), HR training where you teach employees that they’re either oppressors or oppressed [kind of like the idea of “Do unto others before they do unto you”], so you’re really training your employees to hate each other. And then there’s governance, where you’re putting people on your board, or hiring people based on their race or their sex, instead of their qualifications, their merit and their character.

“So it’s an attempt by the Left to use the power they get from these massive shareholdings that these large financial firms have, to impose a Leftest agenda on the American people using the American private sector as the means to get around the ballot box. To avoid the inconvenience and messiness that they see in our Representative [government] and our free-market economy.” (Andy Puzder)

“They are not trying to get elected positions, they’ve found a way to do it through money and investments.” (Joshua Phillipp)

In other words, they are now bypassing the need to control the government and they’re seizing the means of production using businesses alone (think Big Tech).

However, people have caught on to what ESG is, so now these self-righteous secret combinations have basically renamed ESG as ETI (Economically Targeted Investments). These “elites” are beyond evil! They just don’t realize that they themselves will fall into the pit they digged for others. How do I know this? Because the land of America is a choice land, and whatsoever nation that possesses it is blessed if they will serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ. Conversely, this land of America is cursed to the wicked and they will be swept off when they are ripened in iniquity. The worst of these wicked individuals are those who belong to secret combinations, and this country is filled with Secret Combinations.

Ether 8:18, 22-26

18 And it came to pass that they formed a secret combination, even as they of old; which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God;

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.

23 Wherefore, …it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.

25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.

26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.

The Lord commands us to “awake” to a sense of [our] awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among [us]. Notice He says shall be among us. Since the Book of Mormon was written for our day, the Lord has informed us that there IS indeed a secret combination among us. So what do we do now? What do we do after we wake up? Is it enough just to to be aware of it?

An answer to that question was given by President Ezra Taft Benson. In a devotional address he delivered on 16 September 1986 in the Marriott Center at BYU, he laid out four things we must do to be actively engaged: (Though the audience was the university staff and students, Jeffrey R. Holland said the message was directed to all members of the Church.)

1. We must be righteous and moral. We must live the gospel principles – all of them.
2. We must learn the principles of the Constitution and then abide by its precepts.
3. We must become involved in civic affairs. As citizens of this republic, we cannot do our duty and be idle spectators.
4. We must make our influence felt by our vote, our letters, and our advice. We must be wisely informed and let others know how we feel.

President Benson went on to say:

“I have faith that the Constitution will be saved as prophesied by Joseph Smith. But it will not be saved in Washington. It will be saved by citizens of this nation who love and cherish freedom. It will be saved by enlightened members of this Church — men and women who will subscribe to it and abide the principles of the Constitution.

THE CONSTITUTION REQUIRES OUR LOYALTY AND SUPPORT

“I reverence the Constitution of the United States as a sacred document. To me its words are akin to the revelations of God, for God has placed his stamp of approval on the Constitution of this land. I testify that the God of heaven sent some of his choicest spirits to lay the foundation of this government, and he has sent other choice spirits—even you who hear my words this day—to preserve it.

“We, the blessed beneficiaries, face difficult days in this beloved land, “a land which is choice above all other lands” (Ether 2:10). It may also cost us blood before we are through. It is my conviction, however, that when the Lord comes, the Stars and Stripes will be floating on the breeze over this people. May it be so, and may God give us the faith and the courage exhibited by those patriots who pledged their lives and fortunes that we might be free, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.” — Ezra Taft Benson, The Constitution: A Heavenly Banner, 16 September 1986

So there you have it. Our country, in fact the entire world, is in extreme distress. There is a concerted effort being made by certain people to take down the government and put their own rulers into place. They are following a socialist agenda. I could go into so much more, but I’m trying to be concise. To everyone reading this article, I implore you to search out these things for yourselves. But do it now, time is running out. You can find the truth if you will look. God will help you.

I will finish with this excerpt from Elder Moses Thatcher, an apostle in the 1800s. He echoed President Benson’s remarks and I feel his message gives us hope for the future.

(Excerpt from a discourse by Apostle Moses Thatcher, delivered in the Tabernacle, Logan, Cache County, Semi-Annual Conference, Thursday Afternoon, October 8th, 1885.)

“Would to God we had statesmen with eyes clear enough to see!…. The day is not far distant, unless the Democratic and Republican parties open their eyes to the situation, when desolation and war will be in this government.

“I will say when this nation, having sown to the wind, reaps the whirlwind; when brother takes up sword against brother; when father contends against son, and son against father; when he who will not take up his sword against his neighbor must needs flee to Zion for safety—then I would say to my friends come
to Utah; for the judgments of God, commencing at the house of the Lord, will have passed away, and Utah, undisturbed, will be the most delightful place in all the Union.

“When war and desolation and bloodshed, and the ripping up of society come upon the nation, I have said to such, “Come to Utah and we will divide our morsel of food with you, we will divide our clothing with you, and we will offer you protection.” I will tell you, my brethren and sisters, the day will come, and it is not far distant, when he who will not take up his sword against his neighbor, will have to flee to Zion for safety; and it is presupposed in this prediction that Zion will have power to give them protection.

“We are not going to do it outside of the government, either; we are going to do it inside the government. There is no power in this land to turn this people against the government of the United States. They will maintain the Constitution of this country inviolate, and although it may have been torn to shreds they will tie it together again, and maintain every principle of it, holding it up to the downtrodden of every nation, kindred, tongue and people, and they will do it, too, under the Stars and Stripes. They will stand with their feet firmly upon the backbone of the American continent and maintain the principles which cost their fathers so much, and those principles cannot be taken away by men who violate their oath of office, and betray their trust.

“I tell you that there are boys growing up in these mountains who have the principles of human liberty grounded deep in their hearts, and they will maintain them, not only for themselves, but for others. God speed the day I say—if the nation pursues its downward course and tears up these fundamental principles of government which have made them strong—when the Constitution may be rescued and all men and women shall be free again.”
